Annie Merkle is the founder and President of The AMI Solution, an organization effectiveness and change management consultancy. Annie started AMI in order to help leaders achieve their goals by increasing effectiveness with their people and processes. She began her career in the Information Technology Division of Federal Express, serving as a systems trainer and business analyst before taking on major international project management roles and change management assignments. Her process development expertise improved the effectiveness of the IT organization and a number of business operations. She held an account management position at a software subsidiary of Briggs & Stratton where she helped her OEM clients reduce their dealer network operating costs by adopting electronic communication solutions.

Annie began her consulting career with Ernst & Young in their business transformation practice. With E&Y, she served as project leader for a Human Resources transformation project at a Fortune 50 financial services firm and she led a team in the development of a new consulting methodology. Annie has a Masters in Organizational Psychology from Teachers College at Columbia University where she is a guest lecturer. She has a Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan.
